SILVERIAN’S SPORTS MEET 2023
The Annual Sports meet is a major event at Silver Bells Public School. It is an occasion for students to exhibit their skills in athletics and games. There is pride in competing and excelling. Team-work, creativity and sportsmanship are the hallmarks of students belonging to any of the four SBPS houses: JAL VAYU AGNI PRITHVI. The discipline and decorum exhibited during the Drill and March Past are the highlight of the day.
On Thursday 12.1.2023 this week, our school celebrated Annual Sports Day with great enthusiasm. On this special day, our Managing trustee Capt. Kirit Sinhji Gohil graced the occasion as a chief guest, accompanied by Mr. Yogendra Sinh Gohil national basketball player and Mr. Manubhai Vala national volleyball player as our guest of honour.
The program started with prayer at 8:00 am at the Bhavnagar Sports Complex. All the students and teachers were very energetic that day; enthusiasm could be easily seen in their eyes. Our managing trustee capt. Kirit Sinhji Gohil received the salutes from house captains during the March past and then declared the sports meet open. This was followed by the oath taking ceremony initiated by our Vice Principal Dr. Bhumiba Gohil.
The Colorful and coordinated drill displays presented by the school students was a visual treat. It was a pleasure to see the various classes exhibit synchronized movements with lively music. This then led to athletes competing for their house medals on various athletic events organized by the faculties of sports department. The management of SBPS felicitated two National representatives from the city of Bhavnagar, Mr. Yogendra Sinh Gohil national basketball player and Mr. Manubhai Vala national volleyball player. They were applauded for adding glory and fame to the nation. Their presence was a great motivation to the budding sportsmen of school.
Prize distribution ceremony was a special ongoing process wherein all the winners were applauded and were given certificates and medals as an appreciation for their individual performances. And in the end, vote of thanks was given by our Principal ,Chakrapani Esterla who appreciated the sportsmanship spirit of the participating students and the teachers who organized the event.
